About Audiolab

Audiolab was founded in 1983 by Philip Swift and Derek Scotland in Cambridge. Their first product, the 8000A integrated amplifier, became an instant classic — one of the most successful British amplifiers ever and one of the first with its own CD input.

After an interlude as 'TAG McLaren Audio' (1997–2004) the brand returned to its name and has since been part of the International Audio Group (IAG), based in Huntingdon. To this day Audiolab is considered the epitome of honest British hi-fi.
