The PE 3030 is the entry point with a very good cartridge and solid direct drive. The PE 4040 and above use more precise bearings and higher-quality cartridges for greater detail resolution. The PE 7070 is the flagship with the best bearing in the series.

Which phono preamplifier do I need for a PE turntable?
PE turntables come with MM cartridges. An MM phono input in the amplifier is sufficient — or a separate phono preamplifier such as the Ortofon EQI 20. We are happy to advise.
