Teac AD-850-SE CD Player with Cassette Deck - Tape Deck and USB

The Teac AD-850-SE combines a CD player, cassette deck - tape deck and USB recording in one unit. A microphone input with echo function also allows the device to be used for karaoke.

USB Recording and Playback

The device records CDs, cassettes and external sources as MP3 files onto USB flash drives. It can also transfer CDs, MP3 files from USB drives and external sources onto cassette. Recordings are stored in automatically created folders on the USB drive depending on the source (CD, LINE or TAPE). A synchronized start function automatically begins playback of the source (CD or TAPE) together with recording.

Microphone Input and Echo Function

A microphone input is located on the front panel. The microphone signal can be mixed in while playing and recording CDs, cassettes and USB sticks. The microphone sound cannot be recorded when recording from a CD to a USB stick. The echo effect adds reverberation to the microphone signal and can be set in two stages or switched off via a switch on the front panel. Karaoke additionally requires a separate amplifier and speakers.

Cassette Deck

The cassette deck uses a two-head one-way design for recording and playback. It supports tapes with normal, chrome and metal position (metal playback only). It includes pitch control with a range of +/-10 % as well as timer recording and playback.

CD Player

The CD player plays audio CDs as well as CD-R/RW discs with MP3 files. During MP3 playback, ID3 tags and file names are displayed. File name display supports half-width English letters and numbers; full-width characters, including Japanese, are not displayed correctly. Playback modes include program, random and repeat (one track, all tracks or program).

Timer Function

A timer can start recording and playback of cassettes as well as playback of CDs and USB sticks. A commercially available timer is required separately.

Taxes and pricing according to German VAT law (UStG)

Consumers in Germany and the EU

Operate only in dry, enclosed indoor spaces. Avoid moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use only the specified mains voltage — do not overload power strips. Do not switch on devices with damaged cables or housings. Keep ventilation slots clear: at least 10 cm distance from walls and other devices. Place stably and securely — no open liquid containers nearby. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Speakers

Place on a stable surface or suitable stands. No moisture, no direct sunlight. Operate only with matching amplifiers and correctly polarised cables. Do not use as a storage surface. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Cables (speaker cables, RCA, power cables)

Use only for the intended purpose. Always pull by the plug, never by the cable. Avoid kinks, sharp edges and pressure from heavy objects. Replace visibly damaged cables immediately. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Accessories (adapters, mounts, cleaning agents, styli, headshells)

Use only according to the manufacturer's instructions. No aggressive cleaning agents, no damp environments. Store small parts safely due to choking hazard. Mount accessories correctly to avoid damage or malfunction.
