Founded in the 1970s, Mission has always stood for acoustic innovation and high-quality sound. The Mission 778X is a modern reinterpretation of the legendary Mission 778 – a compact, affordable integrated amplifier known for its simple operation and impressive performance.
The new 778X revives that concept with large, tactile controls, versatile connectivity, and a chassis inspired by the 1980s. At the same time, it’s fully up to date technologically: with LED level indicators, built-in Bluetooth, and a high-end DAC, it suits vinyl lovers and digital streamers alike.
With 65 watts of power into 4 ohms and a clean, refined signal path, the 778X meets the same high standards Mission uses when developing its speakers. At the core is a custom-designed power supply and a low-noise internal layout, combined with advanced input stages for maximum flexibility and top-tier sound quality.
The JFET-based phono stage with precise RIAA equalization is optimized for moving magnet (MM) cartridges, delivering a dynamic and low-noise signal without the need for an external phono preamp.
In addition to standard RCA inputs, the 778X includes coaxial and optical digital inputs. Built-in Bluetooth with aptX and AAC support allows you to stream music wirelessly from smartphones, tablets, or PCs in excellent quality.
For digital audio, the Mission 778X features the highly regarded ESS ES9018K2M Sabre32 DAC with 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator – ensuring ultra-low noise and support for resolutions up to PCM 384 kHz and DSD256.
The integrated headphone amplifier delivers performance rivaling standalone units far above this price range. With a high slew rate and detailed output, it provides dynamic and engaging sound for all headphone types.

Electronic devices (amplifiers, streamers, CD players, turntables)
- Use only in dry indoor environments. Avoid humidity, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Always use the specified mains voltage. Do not overload power strips.
- Do not switch on devices with damaged cables, plugs or housings.
- Keep ventilation openings clear. Maintain at least 10 cm distance from walls or other devices.
- Place devices on a stable and secure surface. Do not place open containers with liquids above them.
- Keep devices out of reach of children and pets.
Speakers
- Place on a stable surface or suitable stands.
- Avoid humidity and direct sunlight.
- Use only with suitable amplifiers and correctly wired speaker cables.
- Do not use speakers as a storage or support surface.
- Keep speakers out of reach of children and pets.
Cables (speaker cables, cinch, mains cables)
- Use cables only for their intended purpose.
- Disconnect by pulling the plug, never by pulling the cable.
- Avoid kinks, sharp edges and heavy objects on the cables.
- If there is visible damage, replace the cable immediately.

Accessories (adapters, brackets, cleaning products, styli, headshells)
- Use only according to the manufacturer instructions.
