The Meze Audio 109 PRO is one of the most anticipated headphone releases in recent years. As Meze’s first dynamic open-back headphone, it was created not just for accurate sound reproduction, but to convey true emotion. The 109 PRO combines acoustic engineering, premium materials and precise tuning to deliver a deeply engaging listening experience.
The 109 PRO is available in two versions: the standard model with copper-finished walnut wood, and the exclusive Black Walnut Edition (headphone.shop only) featuring black-lacquered walnut and matte-black metal components. Both versions are technically and sonically identical.
Acoustic performance at the highest level
At its core is a newly developed 50 mm driver using the Meze 109 Series Dual Membrane, made from a combination of beryllium-coated polymer, cellulose-carbon fiber composite, and a copper-zinc alloy. This material blend achieves the ideal balance of stiffness, low mass and internal damping — essential for speed, resolution and dynamic expression.
Naturally open, spacious sound
The spider-shaped internal structure and acoustically transparent grille expose the driver on both sides, creating an exceptionally open and airy soundstage.
Comfort built for long listening sessions
The velour ear pads are soft, breathable and prevent heat build-up. Walnut wood, zinc, manganese steel and vegan leather come together in a lightweight, durable and ergonomic construction designed for hours of effortless listening.
